Designer Lucielle Hargreaves harnessed the inspiration she gathered from her hometown of Yogyakarta, to launch the brand in 2018. Spurred by the creativity and craftsmanship she saw everywhere, she started working with a group of female artisans and a fruitful collaboration was born.
The bags, which take 17 hours to make by hand, incorporate elements of weaving and crochet and carry on a long legacy of craftsmanship. The women who make them were taught these skills by their mothers, who were taught by their mothers.
The bags and accessories are both unconventional and feminine, acting as an exclamation mark to every outfit. For those who seek out something different, they have undeniable appeal.
